Donations still needed for the Maysak relief efforts in Yap and Chuuk. Here's where you can send donations - The Fourth Branch Micronesia

Typhoon Maysak, category 4 (eventually 5), hit Chuuk and Yap states in the Federated States of Micronesia early in April. Prior to becoming a super typhoon, Maysak caused significant damage and killed at least five people in the Chuuk state of Micronesia, according to The Associated Press. In addition, 28,000 in Chuuk State alone are affected, with 1100 more in Yap State. RPCVHI President, Rosemary Casey, worked there from 1989-92. RPCVHI Board Member, Jean Thoulag, served from 1977-1979 in Ulithi Atoll in the outer islands of Yap where she married, remained for 35 years to teach and raise her family. This picture shows the damage to the homes of Jean's relatives.
