All Nepal Peace Corps Volunteers, trainees, and staff are safe and accounted for. See official update from Peace Corps Headquarters.

"Volunteers have been instructed to remain at their sites until further notice.

Peace Corps Nepal is responding to the situation in collaboration with Peace Corps headquarters in Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu.

Family and friends of volunteers may experience difficulty reaching volunteers in Nepal due to possible disruptions in telecommunications. Please be assured that Peace Corps Nepal is in regular contact with Peace Corps headquarters in Washington. As they are able, volunteers are being encouraged to reach out directly to their families.

Each Peace Corps program has an Emergency Action Plan specific to that country and developed in cooperation with Peace Corps Washington and the local U.S. Embassy."  Last updated April 25, 2015

Updates on Volunteers in Nepal will be posted on the Friends and Family page of the Peace Corps' website.
