Interested in serving on the Board?


The number of directors shall be determined by the Board, but it shall always be an odd number of director not fewer than three nor more than nine. A Board Member has voting privileges. Board members play an important, often behind-the-scenes role, in the operation of the RPCVHI organization. Board members serve most effectively by understanding the year's goals, budget, projects, activities and being well versed in the community and RPCVHI and NPCA resources. To that end, it is important that the organization Board Members work effectively as a team with the President and Vice President.  


Board Member Responsibilities and Expectations: 

  • Agree to serve for a two-year term beginning with the Annual Meeting in the year of election.
  • Serve as a role model for organization member by promoting RPCVHI whenever possible, maintaining a positive attitude, and attending all organization functions.
  • Assist the President and the Board in regularly monitoring progress towards the organization's goals.
  • Attend Board meetings to ensure a quorum for votes on Board business.
  • Commit to following up and completing tasks on a timely basis.
  • Engage in the successful planning, implementation, and celebration of organization activities and events.
  • Commit financial and solicitation support for specified RPCVHI fundraising activities.
  • Provide a written letter of resignation upon the decision to resign.
