RPCVHI will participate in the parade and will have a booth at the Kapiolani Park and we are inviting you all to come march with us.
We are encouraging ALL RPCVs, their families, friends, and all supporters of what Peace Corps and Martin Luther King stand for to march in the parade and participate in the unity rally celebration. We need to represent now more than ever.
The parade begins at Magic Island with the formation of organizations at 7:30 a.m., then moves out at 9:00 a.m., traveling on Kalakaua Avenue through Waikiki to Kapiolani Park. It is culminated with a unity rally celebration, which includes food, community booths, and camaraderie.
Start planning ahead! RPCVs who would like to march in the parade are encouraged to wear a Peace Corps shirt OR a clothing representing their country of service. RPCVs can also carry a small flag from their country of service. Our booth in Kapiolani Park will have Peace Corps information PLUS information from RPCVs willing to display photos and objects from their country of service.
More information about the parade and our booth will come in late December.
