Dear Hawaii RPCVs,
We hope that you will join us for one of our many activities soon! Our next major event is our 2015 Annual Meeting and Potluck on January 25, 2015 at Banyan Tree Plaza - 1212 Punahou Street. As always, it's a chance to connect with other RPCVs who live in Hawai'i, share stories, and hopefully make some new friends!
For those who have come to our First Friday Pau Hana events over the past several months, we thank you for attending. The fundraisers and socials were well attended and provided a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new RPCVs.
We are still actively trying to reconnect to RPCVs living in Hawaii through our local RPCV group. Currently, our primary database maintains more than 650 Hawaii resident RPCVs. Since 1961, 1342 Hawaii residents have served in the Peace Corps, with more than 34 currently or recently serving in 20 countries around the world. Of those abroad, 18 are University of Hawaii Manoa graduates, and altogether at least 525 UH alumni have served.
We would like to take the opportunity to invite you to create a membership and would like to request your continued support. As a member of RPCVHI, you will join our RPCV network, and receive messages announcing special events and upcoming community volunteer and social activities throughout the year. We will also be sending email messages for upcoming planned events through our email group.
Annual local dues are only $20, please make personal checks payable to RPCVHI and enclose to our contact address below. If you currently are a National Peace Corps Association member please remember to select the RPCV Hawaii group as your local membership as we benefit and receive a portion of dues submitted to the National group.
Our membership form can be
downloaded or you can join online with a credit card using our secure PayPal account.
